"Bounty is a more absorbent paper towel which means the roll lasts longer and you don't need to use as much to tackle the messes - especially those that come with bringing home a new pet."

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--There are two truths to doing something for the first time – it will always take longer and be messier than you expect. That’s why Bounty wants to join people in celebrating the big and small “firsts” in their lives. Whether it’s a first birthday, first home, or first pet, Bounty is there so people can enjoy these memorable moments, rather than the mess that comes with them.

One of the messier firsts in life is welcoming a new pet to the family. According to a new survey conducted by Bounty and Wakefield Research, 1 in 4 Americans say it would take them 6 minutes or more to forgive a new pet after making their first mess in the home. With 2 times more absorbent* Bounty, people can quickly tackle more inevitable pet messes per roll, from water bowl spills to the muddy paw prints.

To help pet owners navigate the important first moments with their favorite furry friends, Bounty will be teaming up with PetSmart for the Manhattan store’s Puppy Parent 101 event on Saturday, February 20, National Love Your Pet Day. The event will feature Bounty’s “Messy But Memorable” station and international lifestyle pet expert Charlotte Reed, who will be conducting educational and interactive sessions on quick clean up tricks for feeding, potty-training, bathing and grooming pets for the first time.

“At Bounty, we know a ‘first’ is just the beginning of a lasting memory or experience, and that’s why we want to help people spend less time worrying about messes and more time enjoying the messy moment,” said Matt Barresi, Bounty Brand Director. “Bounty is a more absorbent paper towel which means the roll lasts longer and you don't need to use as much to tackle the messes - especially those that come with bringing home a new pet.”

In addition to the “Messy But Memorable” station, the Bounty Clean Crew will be showcasing Bounty’s superior absorbency with the messy pet challenge--using only three rolls to address all of the day’s messes. They will also be on hand to distribute coupons and product samples so new pet owners are armed with one of the essentials to deal with their first pet messes at home.
